Another night of self pity.

I am the starshine of the night.

I am in the flowers that bloom,

I am in a quiet room.

I am in the birds that sing,

I am in each lovely thing.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there. I do not die.

I am me.

Paul had a party, to honour his last day at his place where he called home for years. He is moving to somewhere away from Indooroopilly and gathered most of his hippy/pothead friends to come together to celebrate his 'moving-on'.

After 12.30am, which most of us are off work, Mitch and crew were waiting outside to 'escort' us to the party. Andrew, the adonis, who much prefer to avoid any social events, was there. Despite knowing I have less than 8 hours of sleep, I went to 'watch'. Texted kim, who bailed on the party, about the rare sight of andrew in a social event.

During the course of the party, Jesse and I were preoccupied with our water war, something that is not uncommon; people seems to like to play water war with me. Running around and was weaving through stoners, to avoid being the ultimate victim of the day. All the guys were against myself and I was fully drenched before 1am.

What amazed me was that the fact there wasn't any hint of anger in me. In fact, it was fun. Everyone who participated were laughing at my detriment but I was happy that I got everyone participating, though at my expense. We weren't gentle and I even pour leftover beers at them, which were sitting randomly around. Was good fun.

Andrew, the usually composed night manager, joined in and I could see that he wasn't exactly uptight and could enjoy a good laugh. The sight of him having fun and laughing with us, is comparable to the sight of a blue moon.

In contrast, kim wasn't in the limelight and based on her tone, I could tell she was irritated by me. I wasn't flirting, far from it, I was just doing a boys thing; something I do when I have fun with Adrian and groomer-friends. She was bitter and was commenting how much chemistry I had with Jesse. Jesse is a good mate and we don't mind having good fun by ribbing each other. Having no sexual agenda, was the foundation of our friendship and can't be compared to Kim's. She tend to forget the fact that I don't exactly have sexual agenda with any of the crews. As such, they don't have to worry they will hurt my feeling by rejecting me.

I left the party before Jesse has the chance to taped me on my chair. All drenched and smelling like overnight maccas ( according to Kim), I walked home and left the party. Surprisingly, the party ended very much after I left. Lesson learnt: Asians are the number one target for party entertainment.

P.S. Not upping myself about my importance.
